About the role

Core, hands-on builder within Okta's new Marketing AI Spoke team, owning the full engineering lifecycle for a portfolio of AI agents, low-code/no-code workflows, and marketing applications that directly improve productivity, operational efficiency, and buyer experiences.

What you'll do

  • Design, build, and maintain infrastructure and services for scalable AI applications, including connecting data sources, building APIs, developing front-end UIs, and engineering backend logic.
  • Architect, code, test, and deploy AI agents and low-code/no-code workflows that solve critical marketing challenges, ensuring they are robust, secure, and integrated into the existing AI stack (CRM, MAP, CMS).
  • Act as technical leader for your portfolio, defining architectural blueprints for new AI-enabled workflows and recommending tooling to maximize performance and minimize operational costs.
  • Partner with data science and marketing ops to ensure data pipelines support AI application needs (RAG, fine-tuning), and design prompts and input-output schemas to optimize LLM agent performance.
  • Implement performance tracking directly into deployed platforms and use technical metrics (latency, uptime, error rates) alongside business metrics (ROI, time saved) to guide the marketing AI roadmap.

What we're looking for

  • Bias for action and iteration: demonstrated passion for a test-and-learn philosophy, quickly prototyping and validating solutions to drive continuous improvement.
  • AI-first technology mindset: deep curiosity and commitment to leveraging AI and machine learning as foundational elements for building next-generation marketing tools and operational workflows.
  • Marketing domain curiosity: strong interest in marketing dynamics, customer behavior, and business outcomes, translating technical capabilities into tangible marketing value.
  • Preferred: prior background in marketing operations, strategy, or experience working on tools and platforms used by large-scale marketing organizations.
